From the second I stepped through the doors of Rainford Hall on what I can only describe as the most terryifing thing I've ever had to do. I was greeted and put at ease by the care and compassion of Tracy and SJ. Despite being reluctant at first I quickly learned I was where I needed to be. The one-to-one sessions with my therapist, group therapy sessions with therapists, support staff and peers played a vital role in my recovery and allowed me to develop and grow into a stronger and better me. The love, care and attention from all staff at Rainford Hall will never be forgotten, and for that I will always be truly grateful.

I did not believe I had a problem, but when I realised, I knew I could not achieve sobriety on my own.  Myself and my daughters realised and I accepted I needed help and found Steps Together at Rainford Hall.

It has been an amazing experience the staff are amazing especially Richie (King of the karaoke) Charlie and Ainsley.

I have learned and gained so much from my time here, it has been so knowledgeable and fun, recovery doesn’t have to be dull!!

I am indebted to Rainford Hall and can now move on with my sober future and cannot wait for it to begin.

I will NEVER forget this place.

I completed my journey (28 days) at Steps Together Rainford Hall Rehab and I must say, it’s been nothing short of life-changing. The cornerstone of my recovery journey was undoubtedly the 12-step program, which provided a roadmap for self-discovery and healing. Each step was carefully crafted to guide me through introspection, acceptance, and growth, paving the way for a sustainable recovery.

The staff at Rainford Hall deserves commendation for their unwavering support and dedication. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I felt welcomed and understood. Their compassion and expertise created a nurturing environment where I felt safe to confront my demons and embrace change.

Moreover, the attention to detail in every aspect of the facility’s service is truly remarkable. The cleanliness and organisation of the premises reflect a commitment to creating a conducive space for healing. The food, meticulously prepared with nutrition and taste in mind, provided sustenance and comfort throughout my journey.

The leisure amenities, including the gym, offered a much-needed outlet for physical activity and stress relief. Engaging in recreational activities helped me reconnect with myself and find joy in the present moment.

However, what truly sets Rainford Hall apart is the support staff. Their empathy and guidance were instrumental in my recovery journey. Whether it was a listening ear during moments of vulnerability or practical assistance in navigating challenges, they were always there, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

In conclusion, my experience at Rainford Hall has been nothing short of transformative. The 12-step program, coupled with exceptional staff, service, and amenities, has empowered me to step into my recovery with confidence and optimism. I am immensely grateful for the invaluable support and resources provided, paving the way for a brighter, sober future.

I came into Rainford Hall feeling lost, burnt out and very unwell. I had completely lost my self belief, sense of direction and purpose in life. Two weeks later, I left Rainford Hall with improved physical, mental end emotional health. My focus, determination and direction in life had returned and I felt ‘alive’ again! This is all due to the staff – their experience, empathy, wisdom and incredible support.

You have given me the encouragement and confidence to speak my truth which could prove to be life changing, in 3 previous rehabs I have not been able to speak out.

I came to Rainford Hall in a terrible state, I hadn’t eaten for days and physically I was in a dreadful way. The warmth of the staffing team and the support of the clinical staff were absolutely amazing. They made me feel comfortable and reassured me every day until my detox was finished.

  • Lorraine, family member

When we discovered that our son had a problem with drugs and was an addict, it came really unexpected, we didn’t see it coming and it totally rocked our world. The months that followed were chaos, it was like a tsunami.

We were in a terrible place as a family we were struggling as parents. It was heartbreaking watching our son struggle. We hadn’t seen this problem coming because we weren’t looking for the signs we didn’t know of them. We hadn’t anticipated that it was world our son had entered into. He was successful, happy in our eyes when he was in our home. Looked well, and was covering up his problems really well. Over a period of months we were getting nowhere. We were trying to put restrictions into our son’s life. We were trying to monitor his every move.

What we realised now is that confinement, only makes matters worse. Our son was aware that we were constantly watching him, we will constantly analysing and his moods and that creates another pressure. And we realised that we were on a hamster wheel going round and getting nowhere. And we really needed professional advice. We needed people who knew about addiction to help our son, and us as a family. When we found steps together, it was just a huge sense of relief, we knew we’d found somewhere, that was safe. That would give us hope, and would give us some peace.

The day we dropped our son off at rehabilitation. We sat in the car and just felt a huge sigh of relief. It was emotional, but we knew that he was in the right place, and that he was going to get the help he needed. Our son thrived while he was at steps together. They offered him, not a permanent solution because it’s a problem that’s going to need a lot of work for a long time. But what they did give our son was a toolbox, a toolkit that he can take with him now, through the rest of what hopefully is going to be a fantastic life as a recovering addict.
